Job summary

SAIC seeks an experienced Senior Operations Research Analyst to support a U.S. Army Product Office in Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on cost estimates development, defense, and analysis to support acquisition decision-making and budgeting for mission-critical Army programs.

Candidates will apply operations research, cost modeling, and Earned Value insights to advise program managers, prepare briefings, and collaborate with PM IFMC and related offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 9 years’ experience; 4 additional years may substitute for degree.
• Active Secret clearance; US Citizenship required.
• ACE-IT cost modeling experience and MS Office proficiency.
• Experience presenting analysis to executive leadership within government/DoD.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Senior Operations Research Analyst for an Army Product Office.
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct independent cost analyses for assigned programs with technical soundness.
• Forecast system costs, project expenses, and resource needs for funding decisions and reviews.
• Create and maintain lifecycle cost estimates using ACE-IT.
• Develop cost-estimation methodologies using datasets and advanced techniques.
• Provide budgetary advice and guide resource allocations for budgeting activities.
• Apply statistical and economic methods to cost analysis and decision support.
• Coordinate with PM IFMC to prepare cost estimates for APBs and milestone reviews.
• Create briefings documenting program financial status, lifecycle costs, and forecasts.
• Review Earned Value Management (EVM) reports and propose actionable recommendations.
• Engage executive leadership with concise, actionable budget insights.
