Job summary

PC Construction seeks a Senior Cost Engineer to act as a subject matter expert in job cost and project management financial functions. This role requires deep expertise in ERP and Project Management systems, acting as a power user and functional leader.

The right candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and five years of experience in construction finance, with strong decision‑making, partnerships, self‑motivation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or equivalent with construction finance experience.
• Five years in financial, business and related construction roles.
• Strong decision‑making, partnerships, motivation, time management and communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve change management processes and procedures.
• Set up contract change PCI markup rules per company standards.
• Deliver training and support to project teams on changes and PCIs.
• Review and post contract PCIs and owner contract conformance.
• Review and post owner change orders and bill rates.
• Create queries and reports in analytics tools.
• Assist PMs with estimates-to-complete and forecasts for mgmt reviews.
• Participate in monthly project review meetings.
• Train on forecasting practices and company procedures.
• Set up billing defaults for projects in the billing system.
• Lead meetings with project teams and Owner reps on billing formats.
• Prepare and maintain bill rate tables and GL charges.
• Provide billing system training and support to project teams.
• Develop and improve standard job cost processes and budgets.
• Set up jobs to integrate ERP processes and reporting.
• Review budget changes submitted by Project Managers.
• Review monthly job reports and perform root-cause analysis.
• Support risk management and subcontract/PO compliance and retainage.
• Supervise Job Cost Engineers and leadership program participants.
• Assign tasks to direct reports and drive priorities.
• Collaborate to improve integrated project administration systems.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent
