Job summary

360X Staffing is seeking a Senior Cost Controls Specialist for an office-based project controls role focused on building and strengthening the cost controls function across a large construction portfolio. This role demands ownership, auditing cost codes, validating project cost data, identifying gaps, and driving accountability in cost reporting.

Qualifications

• Senior-level cost controls, cost engineering, project controls, or construction accounting experience.
• Strong ability to audit cost codes and identify data issues.
• Experience owning cost-control processes, not just entering numbers.
• Review project cost data, find issues, and push teams for updates.
• Understanding of how cost controls impact forecasting, performance, and reporting.
• Experience collaborating with project managers, field leadership, accounting, and operations.
• Clear communication, willingness to challenge data, and gain buy-in.
• Comfort with data, reporting, dashboards, systems, and process improvement.
• Ability to validate data from Unifier and internal systems.
• Power BI or dashboard/reporting experience is helpful.
• Ability to pick up Unifier in a software-heavy environment.
• Forward-thinking mindset to improve or rebuild processes.
• GC/large subcontractor/oil & gas/large-scale construction background preferred.
• P6 exposure is helpful for scheduling overlap.
