Job summary

CLMI Group, LLC seeks an experienced Cost Control II for the Los Angeles County Public Works – Rebuild Authority to lead cost accounting, rebate design, and financial oversight across multiple projects.

The role requires 10+ years in cost accounting or public program finance, a bachelor’s degree, and strong Excel and reporting skills; travel to worksites and site visits may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of cost accounting or public program financial management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Ability to track and reconcile project costs across multiple projects and funding sources.
• Experience developing rebate, reimbursement, grant, or incentive programs and related workflows.
• Ability to prepare clear financial reports, dashboards, and briefing materials for management.

Responsibilities

• Provide project cost accounting and help design, implement, and administer a rebate program.
• Track and reconcile costs, budgets, encumbrances, and expenditures across multiple projects and funding sources.
• Establish cost codes, job cost structures, and procedures for cost capture in accordance with LA County Public Works methods.
• Develop internal controls to prevent duplicate or ineligible payments and ensure audit readiness.
• Prepare financial reports and dashboards for management and oversight bodies.
• Coordinate with project managers, finance staff, auditors, and partner agencies.
