The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division (JOID) provides support services across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian agencies, and international markets. The Critical Infrastructure Group (CIG) supports national security missions including DHS, HHS, and FAA, specializing in countering WMD, infrastructure protection, emergency response, nuclear non-proliferation, weapons deployment, and transportation safety. We collaborate closely with clients to deliver high-quality modeling, simulation, software, and analytical products meeting stringent government standards.

We have an immediate need for a Sr. Cost Analyst to provide investment analysis, budget and finance support, and program integration. This role can be performed fully remotely.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point-of-contact for cost-related activities on assigned programs.
  • Lead and develop cost estimating products such as Lifecycle Cost Estimates (LCCE), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), and cost/benefit analyses.
  • Perform data collection, model development, database management, risk and sensitivity analyses, and conduct net present value (NPV) evaluations.
  • Participate in technical working groups with engineering, budget, schedule, and acquisition teams.
  • Provide mentoring and training to team members.
  • Manage customer relationships and expectations.
Required Qualifications
  • Eligibility for a U.S. Public Trust clearance.
  • 10+ years of experience in government program cost estimation roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Engineering, Business, or Finance.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office products.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and excellent communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with FAA programs.
  • Involvement with government acquisition processes.
  • Proficiency in cost estimating and risk tools like Crystal Ball, @Risk, SEER-SEM, or ACEIT.
  • Advanced degrees (MA/MS/MBA) in relevant fields.
  • Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA).
