Job summary

The Principal Cost Accountant role at Leonardo DRS in Melbourne, FL offers advanced cost accounting leadership across operations. You will lead complex analyses, forecasts, and special projects to support strategic decision-making. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field with 8+ years of experience.
• Experience with manufacturing variances and BOM, scrap/yield analysis is a plus.
• Working knowledge of ERP and MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform highly complex cost accounting tasks for Business Operations
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of accounting standards and practices
• Conduct independent research and apply analytical and problem solving skills to lead and complete numerous and diverse special projects
• Present findings of work to senior management
• Prepare, consolidate and review company forecasts
• Provide guidance to less experienced staff members and assist in audits
