Job summary

Just Ingredients seeks a Senior Cost Accountant to own product costing from raw materials to shipped orders, including BOM maintenance and cost analysis. You will evaluate variances, partner with product development on new formulations, and ensure cost data informs leadership decisions in a fast-growing D2C brand.

Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, inventory costing, and maintaining NetSuite-based cost systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA/CMA preferred but not required.
• 5–7 years cost accounting experience in CPG, manufacturing, or e-commerce.
• Experience evaluating cost-plus pricing in a co-manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on BOM management across raw materials, assembly, and toll blending.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and proficiency with NetSuite and Excel.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail; ability to explain data to non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own cost accounting end-to-end, including BOMs and raw materials costing.
• Analyze ingredients, production, labor, and fulfillment costs for allocation.
• Validate cost-plus pricing from co-manufacturers and ensure accurate reflection.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and margin projections.
• Monitor inventory costing and COGS, including freight and fulfillment costs.
• Maintain and improve Cost systems in NetSuite; streamline workflows.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with Production, Procurement, and Finance to align costs with goals.
