Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to independently manage project and operational costs, delivering critical financial insights for profitability on nationwide projects.

The role emphasizes cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting within a large, employee-owned electrical contractor environment. Ideal candidates will have a strong GAAP foundation, advanced Excel skills, and 5–7 years of construction cost accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience with construction cost accounting.
• Experience in job costing, variance analysis, and financial reporting for complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and maintain cost accounting systems for project costs, labor, materials, and overhead.
• Perform variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, identifying drivers and recommendations.
• Collaborate with project managers and operations to understand scope and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Lead preparation of cost reports, including job cost analyses and inventory valuations.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with robust cost data.
