Job summary

Envision Technology, LLC is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to lead cost accounting for the Infor ERP implementation and to provide interim coverage for Accounting Manager duties. You will work with a collaborative team to deliver high-quality products and solutions for our government, defense and commercial clients.

The role includes preparing financial reports, month-end closes, and supporting AP/AR workflows while ensuring GAAP compliance and strong internal controls in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• 5+ years of financial management and cost accounting experience.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Epicor, Infor, etc.).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with prioritization ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
• Proactive in managing tasks and timelines across departments.
• Experience developing and maintaining SOPs.
• Ability to maintain integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost-accounting requirements for the Infor implementation and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Document cost-accounting configurations and create SOPs for post go-live use.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to ensure BOM accuracy and correct cost rollups.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for leadership on spend and performance.
• Perform month-end duties including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Support Accounts Payable and provide backup for AP/AR as needed.
• Maintain GAAP compliance and ensure processes remain compliant.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Position Summary

As a Senior Cost Accountant, you will lead cost accounting activities and support Infor ERP implementation and financial reporting. In addition, you will provide interim coverage for key Accounting Manager responsibilities during manager’s leave, including Accounts Receivable support and overseeing the Accounts Payable function. Working alongside a collaborative team, you will help develop and deliver the high quality products and innovative solutions that define Envision Technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cost‑accounting requirements for the Infor implementation, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Document cost‑accounting configurations and create standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent use post‑go‑live.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to ensure bill of material (BOM) accuracy, proper cost rollups, and inventory valuation.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports to support leadership with spend management, business performance insights, and cost control initiatives.
• Perform month‑end responsibilities, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Support Accounts Payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Functional backup for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to maintain workflow continuity.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and ability to maintain compliant processes.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field.
• 5+ years in financial management and cost accounting.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Epicor, Infor, etc.)
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy.
• Proactive in managing tasks and timelines from various departments.
• Proven capability in developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint) and other office software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a manufacturing environment, preference within the defense industry.
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and process efficiencies.
• Familiarity with FAR/DFARS and CAS.
