Job summary

The attorney will advise businesses and individuals on the tax aspects of complex corporate and commercial transactions while developing direct client relationships.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of relevant tax law experience.
• LL.M. in Taxation required.
• Experience advising clients on transactional, corporate, federal, and state tax matters.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent analytical, drafting, communication, and client-service skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Current admission to practice law in the state of the applicable office.

Responsibilities

• Advise businesses and individuals on federal and state tax planning and strategy
• Counsel clients on the tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, and other business transactions
• Advise on choice of entity, corporate formation, and transaction structuring
• Assist clients with federal tax audits and administrative appeals
• Advise clients in matters involving state and local taxing authorities
• Work directly with clients and collaborate with attorneys across corporate and transactional practices
• Manage matters independently while working effectively as part of a broader team
