Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; paralegal certification preferred.
• 5–10+ years of paralegal experience, ideally within a law firm or similarly sophisticated legal environment supporting complex corporate or transactional matters.
• Experience in one or more corporate or transactional areas (M&A, private equity, capital markets, etc.).
• Strong organization and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; professionalism interactions with attorneys, clients and external parties.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat; ability to learn practice-specific tools.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of paralegal workstreams from initial planning through completion.
• Coordinate transaction workflows and document execution; track progress.
• Support due diligence; organize information and identify inconsistencies.
• Draft, review, proofread, and coordinate corporate and transactional documents.
• Prepare filings and maintain organized matter records.
• Coordinate closings and post-closing deliverables.
• Collaborate with attorneys, clients, vendors and external parties.
• Anticipate issues, troubleshoot, and manage competing priorities.
• Share knowledge and support less-experienced colleagues.
• Contribute to training and process improvements.
