Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a leading North American distributor with a large network of distribution, warehouse, and corporate facilities, is seeking a Senior Corporate Facilities Engineer - HVAC to support the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of building mechanical systems across its growing footprint. This role will partner with facilities, construction, and operations teams to develop engineering standards, support capital projects, and provide technical expertise for HVAC, plumbing, and related building infrastructure systems. The ideal candidate combines hands-on mechanical systems knowledge with strong project coordination and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HVAC, mechanical, and plumbing standards across multiple facilities.
• Collaborate with construction, facilities, and operations teams on equipment installations, facility expansions, renovations, and building upgrade projects.
• Review engineering assessments, system evaluations, and technical reports, providing recommendations for facility improvements and future system investments.
• Assist in the planning, execution, and oversight of capital improvement projects involving HVAC and building mechanical systems.
• Support budget development for construction and facility projects, including reviewing project costs, invoices, and expenditures for accuracy.
• Evaluate existing building systems and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reliability, sustainability, and occupant comfort.
• Travel to facilities throughout North America to support projects, site assessments, and engineering initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting HVAC, mechanical, generator, or building systems.
• Knowledge of commercial or industrial HVAC equipment, mechanical infrastructure, and building systems.
• Ability to review technical documentation, engineering assessments, and project specifications.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Ability and willingness to travel to locations throughout North America as needed.

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting large-scale distribution centers, warehouse facilities, manufacturing facilities, or corporate campuses.
• Familiarity with construction project management, capital improvement initiatives, and facility expansion projects.
• Knowledge of plumbing systems, building controls, generators, and other critical facility infrastructure.
• Experience developing engineering standards, maintenance programs, or facility design guidelines.
• Professional Engineer (PE), Engineer-in-Training (EIT), or other relevant industry certifications.
• Experience managing project budgets and reviewing construction-related invoices and expenditures.
