Job summary

Edible Brands seeks a Senior Corporate Counsel to partner with the Chief Legal Officer and leadership to drive corporate and commercial legal matters across technology, supply chain, and governance. The role requires evaluating risk, guiding strategy, and mentoring a legal team.

You will lead contract workstreams, ensure privacy compliance, and support M&A activities, while aligning legal strategy with business objectives within a dynamic, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• JD required and bar admission to practice law in Georgia or another US state.
• 5-7 years of legal experience, with 3-5 years in-house counsel; experience at a reputable law firm preferred.
• Proven track record drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts (tech, SaaS, supply chain).
• Hands-on experience supervising contract lifecycle management platforms; Ironclad strongly preferred.
• Experience with data privacy laws and compliance frameworks (e.g., CCPA, GDPR).

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation, drafting, and review of complex commercial agreements, especially technology, SaaS, and supply chain contracts; oversee contract lifecycle management (Ironclad).
• Own the company’s compliance posture across applicable laws and regulations, including data privacy frameworks; manage regulatory risk.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks; partner with business units to provide pragmatic solutions.
• Lead due diligence and provide independent counsel on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic transactions.
• Support litigation portfolio; supervise paralegals and legal staff while coordinating with external counsel.
