Job summary

Kraton Corporation, headquartered in The Woodlands, TX, seeks a Senior Corporate Counsel to provide contract-focused legal counsel to senior leadership and to manage risk across strategic initiatives.

You will partner with the business to navigate complex legal matters, ensure compliance with laws, and support transformation projects while operating within a global manufacturing context.

Qualifications

• Sum up complex issues and provide guidance on decision making, mindful of commercial stakes.
• Act as a business partner by balancing legal risk with commercial objectives.
• Prioritize competing demands from multiple stakeholders.
• Interface with Kraton leadership and regional counsel for coordination.

Responsibilities

• Advising business stakeholders on corporate, employment and project-related matters
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and related documents
• Management of disputes, claims, and pre-litigation matters with internal stakeholders, shareholder representatives and external counsel
• Assess legal exposure and recommend practical strategies to mitigate risk and resolve disputes efficiently
• Managing relationships with external counsel, including scope of instruction, cost management, and quality oversight
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, internal policies, and global legal standards
