Southern Management is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to oversee complex financial processes and mentor junior team members. The role supports the Corporate Controller in driving efficiency and compliance across the organization.

The position involves preparing monthly and quarterly statements, managing reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and cost allocations while ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor of Sciences degree in Accounting.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• Yardi experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly corporate financial statements.
• Manage and review account reconciliations and intercompany transactions.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support budgeting and forecasting.
• Record expense allocations and chargebacks across departments.
• Reconcile medical self-insured plans and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Review fixed assets and new acquisitions for proper recording.
• Assist with internal controls implementation and improvement.
• Monitor monthly expenses and research unusual items.
• Collaborate with corporate controller and departments for data-driven decisions.
• Provide accounting training and respond to month-end questions.
