Job summary

Visual Comfort Co. is seeking a Corporate Accountant to oversee monthly close, accounts payable, receivable, inventory costing, payroll and benefits, long-lived assets, cash management, tax matters, and financial reporting.

You will collaborate across finance and business partners to ensure accurate, timely statements in compliance with US GAAP. The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting/finance, 4+ years in corporate accounting, ERP experience (D365/SAP/Oracle), and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• 4+ years’ experience in corporate accounting; CPA preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years in Public Accounting; CPA preferred.
• Experience in accounting for an enterprise with >$250 million in annual revenue.
• ERP experience with D365/Microsoft, SAP Business One or Oracle/JD Edwards preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
• Diligence, strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work well under stress.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Advanced level Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Executes timely production of accurate monthly divisional financial statements for internal/external reporting.
• Performs month-end close activities including journal entries and accruals.
• Prepares financial reporting for operations and commercial matters (commissions, royalties, vendors, tax).
• Assists with tax activities including filings and audits.
• Interacts with external auditors to provide documentation and analysis.
• Manages cash flow and liquidity reporting to support corporate objectives.
• Supports budgeting and variance analysis during operating cycles.
• Documents processes and supports data governance and automation initiatives.
• Collaborates with IT, procurement, and other teams to improve efficiency.
