Job summary

Oracle is seeking a skilled infrastructure engineer to design, implement, and optimize data center components and deployment pipelines with AI-driven scalability.

You will proactively detect and mitigate issues using tests, alarms, dashboards, telemetry, runbooks, and incident response playbooks while ensuring security controls and compliant documentation. Responsibilities include automating with IaC, building dashboards, and collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience with data center infrastructure, deployment pipelines, AI integration, and large-scale data processing.
  • Proficiency in automation/IaC, scripting, and configuration management.
  • Strong knowledge of incident response, runbooks, and root cause analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with security controls, encryption, access management, and remediation.
  • Familiarity with compliance, change-management, and documentation standards.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate effectively.
  • Experience with monitoring, dashboards, telemetry, and alerting systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement components of data center infrastructure and deployment pipelines that support horizontal and vertical scaling with AI integration.
  • Optimize code and/or systems for large-scale data processing and ensure scalability requirements are met.
  • Leverage AI to handle large-scale data retrieval, storage, and processing.
  • Implement tests and alarm configurations to proactively detect and address issues/failures.
  • Support recovery from failures by drafting and executing runbooks and operational procedures.
  • Build and customize dashboards, telemetry systems, and alerting mechanisms to monitor component health.
  • Design and implement functional requirements and testing for assigned features within existing systems.
  • Implement standard data replication and synchronization techniques to maintain data integrity and availability.
  • Diagnose, debug, and resolve issues in system components; maintain continuous operation.
  • Implement strategies to prevent interruptions and minimize maintenance windows.
  • Design and implement automation scripts and tooling for operational troubleshooting.
  • Participate in operational support rotations, assisting in incident responses and root cause investigations.
  • Apply advanced security measures to protect data and applications in multi-tenant environments, including encryption and access controls.
  • Implement remediation plans and collaborate to ensure cloud infrastructure complies with industry standards and regulations.
  • Maintain automation scripts and tools (IaC) for managing cloud infrastructure.
  • Adhere to change-management plans for patching, updating, and rolling back applications.
  • Track timelines, prioritize work, and adjust as resources or timelines change.
  • Collaborate across teams to align on expectations and support shared objectives.
  • Identify and address standard and non-standard issues, escalating as needed, and contribute to knowledge sharing.
  • Engage in continuous learning and apply new skills and best practices.
  • Develop ideas to improve efficiency of processes, protocols, and workflows.

Compensation & Benefits

US: Hiring Range in USD from $79,200 – $209,500 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
