Critical Mass in Chicago is seeking a senior copywriter with leadership potential. You craft clear, compelling copy across social, web, and campaigns, and guide junior creatives while partnering with art directors and designers.

This role values rapid iteration and strong client storytelling, with a focus on staying ahead of cultural trends and tech developments. You will mentor peers, present work confidently to clients and teams, and help shape the voice across multiple channels and formats,

Qualifications

• 3 years of agency experience.
• Mentored other creatives by proximity and formal channels.
• Experience with production vendors including video production, video editing, voiceover and mix.
• Ability to present, defend and sell creative work internally and externally.
• Written for many mediums with versatile tones and headlines.

Responsibilities

• Drive in the development of creative ideas that solve client briefs, solo or with partners.
• Write clear, compelling copy that supports campaign objectives and resonates with audiences.
• Collaborate across disciplines with art directors and designers to meet client needs.
• Seamlessly move from brief kickoff to high-caliber work for creative reviews.
