- Be responsible for checking in with your manager more formally on at least a weekly basis to discuss any concerns or issues you’re having with assignments or to just discuss the status of certain projects.

- Be a stickler for detail, accuracy and grammar.
- Manage your time efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Confidently present your ideas to the client (without much supervision of your manager).

- Look for opportunities to help on pitches, partnering with an art director for concepting.
- Expand your expertise. Broaden the specialty areas on which you focus regularly, the audiences you’re writing for (DTC/HCP/sales reps) and the channels for which you’re writing.
- Partner closely with cross functional teammates, like the brand planner, account director, UX associates (for digital projects); medical directors, and editors.
- Be a "copy lead" on the brand(s) to which you are assigned, owning projects from start to finish, pulling in your manager for oversight/approvals.
