Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Senior Coordinator, Inventory Management - Profiler to analyze existing inventory and resolve inbound discrepancies, driving warehous e efficiency in pharmacy distribution. You will validate shipments, generate standard reports and lead cycle counts to ensure accuracy and cost control.

You will review incoming products, monitor levels, and identify issues across receiving, replenishment, and packing operations, contributing to accuracy and service levels.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience, preferred.
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately measure, weigh, classify, and document inventory.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control processes, including cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, quality inspections, and discrepancy resolution, with a focus on maintaining inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work independently and collaboratively across receiving, operations, quality, and inventory teams.

Responsibilities

  • Review incoming products and determine optimal warehouse storage locations based on product characteristics, demand, and operational requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels, replenishment activity, and product movement to ensure inventory accuracy, product availability, and efficient workflow.
  • Identify and resolve issues impacting receiving, replenishment, inventory, picking, and packing operations.
  • Track warehouse capacity and storage utilization, making recommendations to improve space efficiency and operational performance.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle count reviews, audits, inventory investigations, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Evaluate warehouse processes, product placement, and workflow patterns to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and increased productivity.
  • Generate and analyze operational reports to support inventory control, warehouse performance, and business objectives.
  • Support implementation of process improvements that enhance warehouse efficiency, accuracy, and service levels.
  • Analyze product characteristics, velocity, and storage requirements to develop slotting strategies, optimize warehouse capacity, and support inventory placement decisions.
  • Manage customer-owned inventory (COI), inventory accuracy, and receiving-related discrepancies while ensuring compliance with customer and operational requirements.
  • Support new customer implementations through product profiling, storage planning, inventory setup, process development, and operational readiness activities.
  • Train employees on profiling, slotting, inventory control, and warehouse best practices, while providing cross-functional support to receiving, quality (QIC), inventory, and warehouse office functions as business needs require.

Shift: Monday – Friday, 5am – 1:30pm (or until work is completed)

Anticipated hourly range : $21.50 per hour - $33.00 per hour

What Inventory Management contributes to Cardinal Health
Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.

Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning and customer forecasting systems, supply planning, product deployment and expediting processes, and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.

Job Summary
The Senior Coordinator, Inventory Management - Profiler analyzes existing inventory and resolves inbound discrepancies in order to drive the operational efficiency of pharmacy warehouse operations. The Senior Coordinator validates inbound shipments, places electronic orders, creates standard inventory reports and forecasts, and leads regular cycle counts. By ensuring the quality and efficiency of inventory management, this job contributes to customer satisfaction and minimizing the facility’s expenses.
