Job summary

Compass Group at Tower Hill School in Wilmington, DE seeks an experienced food service worker for a temporary schedule. The role involves preparing nutritious, flavorful meals and supervising cooking activities to meet standards and recipes.

You will follow HACCP guidelines, maintain sanitation, and assist in training while helping manage records and daily production queues. Hours are 6:30 am–3:00 pm with benefits for associates.

Qualifications

• Previous line cooking experience in a high-volume environment.
• Supervisory experience overseeing food service staff.
• Ability to follow established recipes and menus.

Responsibilities

• May oversee cooking activities as assigned by Food Service Director.
• Prepare entrees and menu items following recipes.
• Operate and clean equipment; perform routine cleaning.
• Store, label and date food items; maintain organized storage.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for quality and safety.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations.
• Assist in maintaining production records and documentation.
• Assist in cross-training employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Fixed Pay Rate : $21.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food to ensure it is nutritious and properly flavored in accordance with applicable federal, state, local and company standards, guidelines and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• May oversee the cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by Food Service Director.

• Prepares various entrees and menu items following established recipes.

• Operates and cleans equipment after each use. Performs scheduled routine cleaning.

• Stores, labels and dates food items according to policy. Helps maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products.

• Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.

• Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.

• Assists Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and completes all required documentation, reports, and logs as assigned.

• Assists in the cross training of employees.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
