Job summary

Compass Group USA in Gladwin, MI is hiring for a Senior Cook to join the Chartwells K-12 dining team at Gladwin Community Schools. Both full-time and part-time positions are available with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM; duties include preparing entrees, following recipes, and ensuring food safety.

Candidates must have three years of cooking experience. The role may involve supervising cooks, maintaining HACCP standards, and keeping production records.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cooking activities of food service associates as assigned.
• Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes.
• Operate and clean equipment after each use. Perform scheduled routine cleaning.
• Store, labels and dates food items according to policy. Help maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products.
• Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Assist Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and completes all required documentation, reports, and logs as assigned.
• Assist in the cross training of employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
