Job summary

Eurest seeks a Senior Cook for a full-time role at the Dayton, NJ site. The position requires prior batch cooking, strong knowledge of federal, state and local health regulations, and the ability to follow established recipes to ensure nutritious, well-flavored meals.

Responsibilities include supervising cooking activities and maintaining production records. Hours are Monday through Friday with potential variation; compensation ranges from $19.00 to $21.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have prior batch cooking experience.
• Knowledge of local and state health and safety regulations is required.
• Experience overseeing cooking activities and staff is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to recipes to ensure nutrition and flavor.
• May oversee cooking activities as assigned by Food Service Director.
• Operate and clean equipment; perform routine cleaning.
• Store, label, and date food items; maintain organized storage.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for quality and safety of food.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations.
• Maintain daily production records and complete documentation.
• Assist in cross-training employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food to ensure it is nutritious and properly flavored in accordance with applicable federal, state, local and company standards, guidelines and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• May oversee the cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by Food Service Director.
• Prepares various entrees and menu items following established recipes.
• Operates and cleans equipment after each use. Performs scheduled routine cleaning.
• Stores, labels and dates food items according to policy. Helps maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products.
• Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Assists Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and completes all required documentation, reports, and logs as assigned.
• Assists in the cross training of employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
