Morrison Healthcare is hiring a Senior Cook at Ochsner Medical Center Baptist in New Orleans, LA. This full-time role prepares nutritious meals for patients and caregivers, following federal, state, local and company standards while maintaining safety and quality.

Open schedule, days and hours may vary; prior food service and cooking experience is required. You will assist in documentation, support a caring team, and contribute to the high standard of meals across the Compass Group family.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food to ensure it is nutritious and flavorful according to standards.
• Oversees cooking activities as assigned by the Food Service Director.
• Prepares various entrees following established recipes.
• Operates and cleans equipment after use and performs routine cleaning.
• Stores, labels and dates food items and maintains organized storage.
• Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety.
• Maintains production records and completes required documentation.
• Assists in cross training of employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Pay Range: $17.00 per hour to $17.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food to ensure it is nutritious and properly flavored in accordance with applicable federal, state, local and company standards, guidelines and regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• May oversee the cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by Food Service Director.
• Prepares various entrees and menu items following established recipes.
• Operates and cleans equipment after each use. Performs scheduled routine cleaning.
• Stores, labels and dates food items according to policy. Helps maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products.
• Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Assists Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and completes all required documentation, reports, and logs as assigned.
• Assists in the cross training of employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
