Job summary

Compass Group USA, operating as Bon Appétit Management Company, is hiring a Senior Cook for Cornell College in Mount Vernon, IA. This full-time role requires weekend and evening availability and a proven culinary background.

Pay ranges from $22.00 to $28.00 per hour, with free shift meals and parking as perks. As a Senior Cook you will oversee cooking activities, prepare entrees per recipes, maintain equipment, and ensure HACCP compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by Food Service Director.
• Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes.
• Operate and clean equipment after each use; perform routine cleaning.
• Store, label and date food items; maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products.
• Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations.
• Assist Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and completes all required documentation, reports, and logs as assigned.
• Assist in the cross training of employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Summary
