Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring immediately for a full-time Senior Cook in Monroe, GA. The role involves preparing nutritious meals to approved standards, with Monday–Thursday, 8:30 am–6:30 pm schedules and a pay range of $16.00 to $16.50 per hour.

Two years of related experience are preferred. Training is provided. Morrison emphasizes teamwork, food safety, HACCP compliance, and accurate production records across patient meals and operations.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related cooking/food service experience preferred.
• Must be able to follow established recipes and HACCP guidelines.
• Full-time schedule Monday through Thursday 8:30 am to 6:30 pm.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cooking activities as assigned by Food Service Director.
• Prepare entrees and menu items following recipes.
• Operate and clean equipment; perform routine cleaning.
• Store, label and date food items; maintain organized storage.
• Follow HACCP guidelines; comply with health and sanitation regulations.
• Maintain accurate daily production records and required documentation.
• Assist in cross training of employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food to ensure it is nutritious and properly flavored in accordance with applicable federal, state, local and company standards, guidelines and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• May oversee the cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by Food Service Director.
• Prepares various entrees and menu items following established recipes.
• Operates and cleans equipment after each use. Performs scheduled routine cleaning.
• Stores, labels and dates food items according to policy. Helps maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products.
• Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Assists Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and completes all required documentation, reports, and logs as assigned.
• Assists in the cross training of employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
