Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Senior Cook at Salve Regina University in Newport, RI. You will be a team player, prepare nutritious dishes, and deliver high-quality food service to customers. The role offers full-time employment with varying shifts, and open availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• 4 or more years of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events.
• Follows complex recipes and/or product directions
• Produces small to large batch goods using classical and contemporary cooking, plating and garnishing techniques
• May oversee production staff; train and assign tasks
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

Workdays/shifts: Varying shifts, days/hours (open availability preferred). More details will be provided during the interview process.

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $23 per hour - $25 per hour

What You'll Do: As a Senior Cook at Sodexo, you are a team player and food waste reducer. You'll prepare and create nutritious dishes while putting customer service at the heart of everything you do. • Follows complex recipes and/or product directions
• Produces small to large batch goods using advanced and full range of classical and contemporary cooking, plating and garnishing techniques
• May have oversight over the production staff train and assign tasks
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
