Job summary

Thermo Systems LLC seeks a Senior Control Systems Technician to provide technical support and field coordination for control system projects and service teams. You will own tasks, coordinate with project leads, and travel to customer locations as needed.

Ideal candidate has 5+ years in control systems with hands-on experience in HMI/PLC, FAT, and field wiring. The role involves extensive field work and collaboration with engineering and service teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, start-up and commissioning of control systems.
• Lead instrument loop checks and calibrations.
• Expert in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of control systems.
• Lead and perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
• Wire instruments and control panels.
• Demonstrate understanding of HMI and PLC applications.
• Startup and troubleshooting of HMI applications.
• Startup and troubleshooting of PLC applications.
• Read piping & instrumentation diagrams and wiring diagrams; provide feedback on field conditions vs. drawings.
• Document work per the company Quality Management System (QMS).
• Understand control system design and electrical/mechanical system design.
• Understand IT system and network infrastructure as it relates to control system integration.
• Seek accredited control systems certifications and training opportunities.
