Job summary

Edison Smart® in Dallas is seeking a Controls Engineer with experience in critical power and switchgear automation to design, program, test, and commission control systems for low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution projects.

You will join a busy power team and help with commissioning, documentation, and on-site customer training. Salary up to $150k, with bonus potential and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with controls in power distribution or switchgear.
  • Knowledge of electrical communications.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Working on control systems 480V–38kV switchgear applications.
  • Develop electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, and control schematics.
  • Program of PLCs - Troubleshooting and electrical work.
  • Commissioning, and system startup activities.
  • Create technical documentation and provide customer training and field support.
