Job summary

Magna Seating is seeking a Controls Technologist to design, develop, and commission PLC-based control systems for automated equipment. You will maintain HMI displays, verify hardware-software interfaces, and document electrical schematics and test results.

The role requires a strong background in electrical control systems and PLC programming, with experience in RSLogix/FactoryTalk and SCADA tools. Onsite work with potential overtime is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical/Mechatronic engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and install new PLC-based control systems and onsite commissioning.
• Maintain and modify HMI displays and graphics across systems.
• Provide technical competence during project execution of Electrical and Function Test equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLC and hardware-software interfaces to improve reliability.
• Produce and update design documents, schematics, and testing plans.
• Collaborate with IT to optimize SCADA communications.
