Burke Porter, an Ascential Technologies Brand, is seeking a senior controls engineer to design complex control systems, lead major project components, and provide on-site installation training. The role requires deep expertise in control systems, safety analysis, and technical documentation.

You will support shop personnel during electrical assembly, develop cost-effective control solutions, and collaborate with the Applications Engineering team to assess feasibility and quotations.

Qualifications

• Extensive expertise in designing complex control systems.
• Ability to solve challenging technical issues with innovative solutions.
• Lead major project components balancing technical work and coordination.
• Develop control concepts and set direction on complex projects.
• Create cost-effective control systems for custom machinery, including hardware design, programming, safety analysis, and documentation.
• Provide guidance and support for shop personnel during electrical assembly of control systems and machines.
• Lead and participate in control system debugging and provide on-site installation training.
• Provide initial estimates of control system costs for quotations, collaborating with Applications Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Collaboration across teams to ensure alignment on projects.
• Mentor junior engineers; conduct code/design reviews.
• Work proactively to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Communicate project status and risks clearly to stakeholders.
