About the Role

We are seeking a driven Controls Engineer to join our automation engineering team. You'll take ownership of small-to-medium project teams, guiding less experienced engineers while taking direction from Project Managers and Lead Engineers.

You will act as a key technical point of contact for clients, translating their operational needs into robust, well-documented control solutions across a range of industrial platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Engineering: Interface directly with clients in design meetings and conference calls to define functional requirements and translate them into system configurations.
  • System Architecture & Design: Design control system network architectures, control strategies, and electrical controls
  • Controller Programming: Program and configure controllers using platforms such as Rockwell (ControlLogix, PlantPAx, FactoryTalk View/Studio) and Siemens.
  • Testing & Verification: Test system configurations to verify functionality against project requirements prior to deployment.
  • Field Commissioning: Travel to client sites to support system commissioning, troubleshoot issues, and ensure a smooth transition to full operation.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current with emerging control system technologies and apply new concepts and functionality as platforms evolve.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering.
  • Platform Expertise: Hands-on experience with one or more major control system platforms, such as Rockwell ControlLogix, Rockwell PlantPAx, Rockwell FactoryTalk View/Studio, Emerson DeltaV, or equivalent systems.
  • Technical Knowledge: Thorough understanding of control system design principles, coding practices, and industrial process control.
  • Education: B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Mobility: Willingness and ability to travel to client sites for project meetings and system commissioning as required.
  • Full Benefits Package: Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Retirement Ready: 401(k) with company match
  • Time Off: Generous PTO including vacation, holidays, and unlimited personal time
  • Other: Ongoing training, certifications, and professional development support
