Job summary

TAR seeks a hands-on Controller in Austin to own the finance function, taking responsibility for all AP/AR processes, close cycles, and project accounting. You will build scalable systems, controls, and a high-performing finance team as the company grows from a single GW project to a multi-GW platform.

The role demands CPA-led expertise, strong GAAP knowledge, and experience with ERP platforms. On-site presence in Austin is preferred to accelerate execution and collaboration with founders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting with full monthly close ownership.
• Experience with ERP systems and modern AP/expense tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own accounts payable end to end.
• Run payment controls with vendor data integrity and dual approvals.
• Own accounts receivable, issue POs and invoices, track terms.
• Run monthly close with reconciliations and intercompany entries.
• Manage project cost accounting and real-time spend visibility.
• Coordinate with tax advisors for cost basis and credits.
• Oversee cash across operating and project accounts and forecast funding.
• Lead ERP, AP, and expense tooling selection and build the accounting team.
