PPM TECHNICAL SERVICES, INC is seeking a Senior Control Room Operator/Plant Tech Operator at Klamath Cogeneration Plant. The role emphasizes safe operation of power generation equipment, training, and leadership on watch.
You will ensure compliance with permits, perform basic maintenance, and coordinate with Avangrid and on-site teams. Qualified candidates bring seven years of control room or plant operator experience, strong communication skills, and an Oregon driver’s license.
The base salary for this position is dependent upon experience and location. Location: Klamath Falls, OR Salary Range: $47.50 to $52.75 hourly This position works a modified Dupont schedule and includes 208 hours of built in OT.
Job Summary The Control Room Operator / Sr. Plant Tech Operator (SPTO) performs primarily as the Senior Operator of all power generation equipment at Klamath Cogeneration Plant and Klamath Generation Peakers. The Control Room Operator/SPTO ensures that all equipment is properly operated in a safe manner and in compliance with all permits, rules, and regulations. They are expected to train in basic mechanical and electrical maintenance and contribute to a variety of maintenance activities commensurate with their skills and qualifications. This role is at times an individual contributor, a team member, and often times a group leader. As with all employees, the Control Room Operator/SPTO should continuously strive to better themselves as well as the team.
