Job summary

Castelion is seeking a Senior Control Electronics Engineer in Rio Rancho, NM to design and deliver real-time control systems for long-range hypersonic strike vehicles. You will work hands-on with multidisciplinary teams to develop control electronics hardware, focusing on TVC and ACS drivers in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires advanced degrees in electrical engineering and a strong background in high-reliability systems, EMI/EMC design, and hardware validation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and validating control electronics for aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability systems.
  • Strong background in real-time control systems, actuator electronics, and feedback control implementation in hardware.
  • Proficiency in analog and mixed-signal circuit design, simulation, and analysis (SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent).
  • Experience with hardware bring-up, integration, and troubleshooting in a lab or flight hardware environment.
  • Familiarity with EMI/EMC design practices, ruggedized electronics, and operation in high-vibration/high-temperature environments.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, thriving in a fast-paced, hardware-rich, high flight cadence environment.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Control Electronics Engineer to design and deliver real-time electronic control systems for Castelion's long-range hypersonic strike vehicles. This role is critical to enabling precise actuation and vehicle control through robust, high-performance electronics. You will work hands-on with multidisciplinary engineering teams to design, build, test, and validate control electronics hardware, with a focus on thrust vector control (TVC) systems and attitude control system (ACS) drivers in a fast-paced, hardware-driven environment.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience designing and validating control electronics for aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability systems
  • Strong background in real-time control systems, actuator electronics, and feedback control implementation in hardware
