Lunar Outpost seeks a Senior Contracts Specialist - Commercial Space to lead contract administration, negotiations, and compliance for our groundbreaking space technologies. This onsite role supports partnerships and customer relationships that enable missions beyond Earth.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree, 4+ years in contract administration, and strong knowledge of contract law. You will collaborate cross-functionally with suppliers, government bodies, and internal teams to manage

Working Conditions / Schedule:

This position is required to be onsite Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Where applicable, employees may work remotely on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be required based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and maintain contractual documentation
• Assist with contract negotiations with suppliers, subcontractors, customers, and government entities
• Review contract terms and conditions to identify risks and **escalate issues**
• Support coordination of contract implementation between the C ompany and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations
• Maintain contract records and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Support contract administration activities across internal departments
• Assist with government compliance requirements, including documentation and reporting

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration , Legal Studies, or a related field
• 4 + years of experience in contract administration or a related role, preferably in aerospace or a technology startup environment
• Working knowledge of contract law principles, including contract interpretation and implementation
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and support negotiation efforts

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting contracts with the U.S. government
• Experience working in the space industry or with NASA or DoD contracts, including familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and NASA FAR Supplement (NFS)
• Experience in aerospace, space, or other regulated industries
• Professional certification (e.g., CPCM) or progress toward certification
• Exposure to intellectual property considerations or licensing agreements
• Experience supporting international or cross-border contracts

Compensation level and base salary are competitively structured and thoughtfully determined based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, and the scope of the role.
