Job summary

Lunar Outpost seeks a Senior Contracts Specialist to draft, review, and manage contractual documents, negotiate with suppliers and government entities, and ensure compliance across programs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in contract administration, preferably in aerospace, with strong writing, organization, and cross‑functional collaboration skills in a fast‑paced startup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in contract administration or a related role, preferably in aerospace or a technology startup environment.
• Working knowledge of contract law principles, including contract interpretation and implementation.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and support negotiation efforts.
• U.S. Persons.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and maintain contractual documentation.

We are seeking a talented, experienced Senior Contracts Specialistto help define the future of lunar surface mobility in a fast-paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and maintain contractual documentation
• Assist with contract negotiations with suppliers, subcontractors, customers, and government entities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting contracts with the U.S. government
• Experience working in the space industry or with NASA or DoD contracts, including familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and NASA FAR Supplement (NFS)
• Experience in aerospace, space, or other regulated industries
• Professional certification (e.g., CPCM) or progress toward certification
• Exposure to intellectual property considerations or licensing agreements
• Experience supporting international or cross-border contracts

Compensation level and base salary are competitively structured and thoughtfully determined based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, and the scope of the role.
