Position Summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP is seeking a Contracts Analyst to support Marketing Contracts & Compliance, with a primary focus on Direct Dealer Contracts. This role manages the marketing contract lifecycle, including contract initiation, drafting, execution, transfers, and renewals. The Contracts Analyst reviews agreements for accuracy, legal compliance, and policy alignment to support timely completion. The role also partners with Legal, Credit, and Marketing teams to streamline contract review, execution, and distribution; maintain centralized contract records; support audits and reporting. This position belongs to a family of jobs with increasing responsibility, competency, and skill level. Actual position title and pay grade will be based on the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviews contracts for accuracy, compliance, and alignment with organizational standards; escalates items requiring legal review and engages stakeholders as appropriate

Education And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Four (4) years experience required.
  • Experience in contract development or management, with understanding of contracting processes
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Paralegal experience a preferred
