Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. is seeking a Senior Contracts Advisor to lead commercial contracting for utility-scale renewable energy projects, negotiating EPC, supply, and service agreements.

You will collaborate with Development, Engineering, Construction, Operations, Legal, Finance, and Executive Management to structure agreements, manage risk, and support strategic decisions. The role requires drafting and negotiating complex contracts, advising on risk allocations, and mentoring junior

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of contract management and commercial negotiations for large capital projects.
• Experience drafting, negotiating, and administering EPC, construction, procurement, or similar contracts.
• Understanding of project execution, risk, and commercial considerations for large-scale projects.
• Knowledge of contract law, governance, and negotiation playbooks.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 25% and work in a hybrid in-office environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial contracting activities for utility-scale renewable energy projects from sourcing to award.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and administer EPC, equipment supply, OPS/maintenance, and other project contracts.
• Review proposals, identify deviations, and develop negotiation strategies balancing commercial objectives and risk.
• Lead negotiations with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and other counterparties.
• Provide contract administration support during project execution, including change orders and disputes.
• Evaluate risks and advise on risk allocation aligned with standards and practices.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve contractual matters and advance project objectives.
• Maintain and improve contract templates, playbooks, and negotiation guidelines.
• Mentor junior contract professionals and promote knowledge sharing.
