Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) in El Segundo, CA, is seeking a Contracts Administrator to manage contracts from negotiation through close‑out.

You will ensure compliance with government regulations, advise leadership, and support the proposal team while maintaining electronic contract files.

Qualifications

  • US citizenship with an active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • 8+ years of related experience and a MA/MS degree or higher (or equivalent).
  • Superior interpersonal, organizational, written, verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time and collaborate across diverse departmental priorities.
  • Expert at developing briefs and reports for leadership review.
  • Willingness to report to the designated work location in El Segundo, CA, full‑time, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage company contracts, monitoring transactions from negotiation to close‑out.
  • Ensure contracts, modifications, and agreements comply with legal requirements, specifications, and government regulations.
  • Advise management on contractual rights and obligations and interpret contract terms.
  • Provide timely support to management and the proposal team to review solicitations and identify questions.
  • Prepare worksheets and perform calculations to support contract activities.
  • Establish and maintain excellent internal and external relationships with program managers, customers, and other departments.
  • Resolve issues affecting company compliance and ensure satisfaction of legal requirements, company, and customer objectives.
  • Develop and maintain an electronic file management system for all contract‑related documents.

The Space Systems Group (SSG), part of SPA’s Space and Intelligence Division, provides timely and objective assessments and recommendations integrating technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis. We focus on our key clients in the Space community including the US Space Force’s Space Systems Command (USSF/SSC), one of the three designated Field Commands under USSF. SPA has a near-tem opening for a Contracts Administrator.

Responsibilities

Duties associated with this role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Administers and manages company contracts, monitoring contract transactions from negotiation to close-out.
  • Ensures that contracts, modifications, and agreements comply with relevant legal requirements, contract specifications, and government regulations.
  • Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of contract terms and conditions.
  • Provide timely support to management and proposal team to facilitate the review of solicitation and identifying questions.
  • Prepare worksheets and perform calculations in support of contract activities.
  • Establish and maintain excellent internal and external relationships with Program Managers, Customers, and other departments.
  • Resolve issues affecting company compliance and ensure satisfication of legal requirements, company and customer objectives.
  • Develop and maintain electronic file management of all contract related documents.

Qualifications

About the Must Haves

  • US Citizenship + active TS/SCI security clearance
  • 8+ years of related work experience with MA/MS degree or higher (additional years of relevant experience may be substituted) in STEM, Business, Contract Administration, Statistics, International Relations, Military Studies, Political Science, National Security, Government Economics, Pre-law/Law, or related field of study
  • Superior interpersonal, organizational, written, verbal communication skills, and attention to detail
  • Able to effectively manage time and collaborate across a diverse set of department priorities
  • Recognized expert at developing briefs and reports for leadership team review
  • Additional qualifications as needed by organization requirements
  • Ability to report to designated work location in El Segundo, CA, up to full time, based on the needs of the customer

Pay Range Information

Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. California, Pay Transparency Salary range: USD $120,000.00/Yr. - USD $190,000.00/Yr.
