Job summary

Hargrove seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to steer large capital projects and lead multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic environment. You will oversee scope, budget, schedule, and quality while maintaining strong client relations and a focus on safety and excellence.

With 15+ years in project management or related leadership, you will drive strategic decisions, mentor engineers and PMs, and optimize project controls and forecasting to deliver successful outcomes for industrial clients.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of project management or related leadership experience.
  • Experience leading large capital projects in manufacturing/chemical/energy/industrial sectors.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams and multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong track record of client relationship management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience supporting project financial performance, forecasting, budgeting, and risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of large and complex capital projects or multiple major projects simultaneously.
  • Provide strategic oversight to PM teams to ensure alignment with client objectives, budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with client stakeholders, serving as a senior-level point of contact.
  • Monitor project performance, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions as needed.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Managers, Engineers, and other team members.
  • Support project planning, execution strategies, and project controls activities.

  • Promote continuous improvement of project execution processes and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards during execution.
  • Support business development efforts, project pursuits, and client engagement activities.

Ideal Background
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • Equivalent industry experience will be considered.
Experience
  • 15+ years of project management, program management, engineering, construction, or industrial leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading large capital projects in the manufacturing, chemical, energy, pulp & paper, refining, utility, or industrial sectors.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams and multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong track record of client relationship management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience supporting project financial performance, forecasting, budgeting, and risk management.

  • Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Strong project execution and project delivery expertise.
  • Advanced understanding of project controls, scheduling, cost management, and risk mitigation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
