Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a detail-oriented Contracts Coordinator to manage vendor and payor contracts, credentialing, and regulatory compliance. You will maintain the contract system, ensure timely credentialing, and align contract terms with organizational goals across payor and vendor relationships.

The role requires 3-5 years in contract drafting/negotiation, strong MS Word/Excel/Outlook skills, and a commitment to HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in contract drafting and/or negotiation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support review, editing, negotiation, maintenance, and management of vendor and payor contracts and the Contract System
  • Update, submit, and maintain payor credentialization accurately and on time
  • Ensure timely compliance and validations with PECOS, NPPES NPI Registry, Medicare, Medicaid, Secretary of State filings, and state health and business license requirements
  • Assist with establishing and maintaining payor and vendor contracts
  • Assist with executing the organization’s annual payor relations strategy
  • Work with internal Operations and Clinical teams to ensure accurate execution of contract terms
  • Review current contracts to align terms with organizational goals
  • Research payors in current and new service areas and recommend regional payor mix
  • Coordinate and prepare documentation for entering new service areas
  • Communicate necessary payor changes to supply vendors
  • Maintain the contract tracker and Contract Management tool
  • Prepare for Payor Alignment Meetings and communication updates
  • Assist with Medicare and Medicaid credentialing
  • Prepare agency initial license applications and annual renewal packages
  • Prepare state business license applications and annual renewal packages
  • Maintain NPPES NPI Registry, Secretary of State filings, and PECOS for all agencies
  • Request Tax EINs for new agencies as needed
  • Complete JARS and ORS Reporting for South Carolina
  • Plan and prioritize work activities for productivity and efficiency
  • Complete assignments accurately with minimal supervision
  • Serve on committees and councils as assigned
  • Mentor and support other contracts team members
  • Participate in community outreach activities
  • Maintain confidentiality in accounting and all other areas

Requirements

  • Home health experience a plus

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required

  • Ability to handle pressure of deadlines

  • Good judgement and ability to follow procedures

  • Ability to work independently and manage time appropriately

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA policies and procedures

  • Minimum 40 hours per week availability

  • Typical work schedule 8:00 am–5:00 pm, Monday through Friday

  • Extended work hours may be required during peak workloads or increased volume
