Job summary

KC Current in Kansas City seeks a Senior Coordinator, Content to write social media copy, create multimedia content, and help ideate and execute an engaging social content calendar. The role supports the Manager, Content and the VP, Content and Creative to grow the KC Current brand across digital platforms.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in content management, a strong portfolio, and knowledge of SEO and analytics.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Media or related field.
Three or more years of experience in content management with a high impact organization, preferably sports.
Portfolio demonstrating published social media content, copywriting, digital storytelling, or campaign execution is required.
Knowledge of SEO, AEO, keyword research, Google Analytics, Zoomph and social media analytics
Knowledge of Photoshop / InDesign / Premier
Experience with Twitter, Instagram, Bluesky, Threads, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn
Demonstrated ability to write compelling, brand-aligned social media copy across multiple platforms.
Exceptional attention to detail, proofreading, and organizational skills while operating in a fast-paced live environment
Soccer knowledge or interest preferred
Experience in sports, entertainment, or live-event environments preferred
Knowledge of women's sports preferred

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Manager, Content on KC Current, CPKC Stadium, Current Landing and other Long Sports & Entertainment social media accounts across major platforms.
Develop content for social publishing to meet key metrics and goals.
Create copy and assets that align with brand voice and content strategy.
Support PR, marketing, and social media content for clubs and properties.
Coordinate with partnerships, ticket, retail and community relations teams for content.
Assist with live coverage of matches and events, including real-time publishing and community management.
Contribute to content that meets contractual deliverables for sponsors.
Monitor platform best practices and recommend improvements.
Maintain content libraries of photos, videos, graphics for KC Current and properties.
Monitor channels and engage with fans in brand voice.
Keep social calendar updated and prepare copy and assets for posts.
Travel as needed for events and content opportunities.
