Roland Berger is seeking a Senior Consultant to help shape the water sector through strategy, transformation, and operational improvement. You will lead workstreams, interact with senior stakeholders, and drive value through rigorous delivery across water-sector engagements.

You will contribute to the growth of our Water practice, coach junior team members, and strengthen client relationships while delivering strong analyses and recommendations.

Qualifications

  • MBA or PhD/MA/MS in relevant field preferred; other quantitative fields acceptable.
  • 5+ years of relevant industry/consulting experience.
  • Exposure to the water sector and transformation-focused projects.
  • Strong analytical skills (qualitative & quantitative).
  • Collaborative, proactive, and entrepreneurial mindset; ability to work with ambiguity.

This is an opportunity to join a growing Water practice, working alongside senior clients on some of the industry’s most complex and high-impact challenges.

The water sector is facing significant transformation — from operational performance and infrastructure investment to sustainability and regulatory change.

As our Water practice continues to grow, we are looking for experienced consultants who can combine strategic thinking with strong delivery capability and sector expertise.

As a Senior Consultant, you will:

  • Lead workstreams across strategy and transformation engagements.
  • Work directly with senior stakeholders across the water sector.
  • Support operational improvement and value-creation initiatives.
  • Contribute to practice growth, thought leadership, and team development.
  • Lead day-to-day project delivery across water-sector engagements.
  • Build strong client relationships and support senior stakeholder management.

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals with:

  • MBA or PhD/MA/MS in relevant field, quantitative and analytically oriented fields such as Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Sciences, or Economics are preferred but not required.
  • 5+ years of relevant industry/consulting experience.
  • Understanding of various industry business models and key dynamics.
  • Exposure to the water sector and transformation-focused projects.
  • Strong analytical skills, both qualitative and quantitative analysis methods and techniques.
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders.
  • A collaborative, proactive, and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Ability to think independently and take initiative in the face of ambiguity.

The estimated base salary for this role is $180,000. This estimate reflects the best estimate at the time of this posting, and does not guarantee any specific salary for this position. It is important to note that at Roland Berger, individual salaries are determined on a case-by-case basis based on experience, education, office location, start date and organizational needs. Roland Berger will review your performance at least annually and may adjust your salary in its sole discretion

This roleis eligible for additional compensation, and iseligible for an annual bonus.
