Job summary

Expleo is seeking a Senior Consultant Software Engineer (Level 6) to deliver embedded software solutions across advanced aerospace systems. You will design control algorithms for power electronics, develop requirements and firmware for 3-phase rectifiers and motor control electronics, and contribute to system architecture.

You will lead software design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and ensure DO-178/DO-254 compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams and OEMs to drive

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (ABET-accredited or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of aerospace embedded software development experience
  • Strong experience with RTCA/DO-178 processes and documentation
  • Hands-on programming skills in C/C++, VHDL/Verilog, and/or scripting languages (Python, Perl, PowerShell)
  • Experience with embedded systems architecture and firmware development (DSPs, microcontrollers such as TMS320, PIC, or similar)
  • Knowledge of aerospace communication protocols (CAN, ARINC429, SPI, I2C, RS-232)
  • Experience with simulation and design tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PSPICE, or PSIM
  • Familiarity with power electronics systems (PFC, inverters, motor control systems)
  • Ability to lead technical efforts and work effectively in cross-functional environments

  • Develop software documentation including requirements specifications, interface control documents, and design reports
  • Create verification and validation plans, including DVTP and DVTR documentation
  • Support feasibility, development, validation, verification, and qualification testing activities
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and airworthiness requirements (RTCA/DO-178, DO-160, DO-254)
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Interface with internal teams and external OEMs to ensure successful program execution

Please note that the compensation range displayed is a generalized range for pipelining purposes and may not reflect the final range for a specific role. Final compensation will be determined based on the role, skill alignment, years of experience, and fair, market-based rates by geography
