Job summary

Forvis Mazars, LLP in the United States is seeking a SOC & HITRUST professional to support third-party assurance engagements, delivering SOC 1/2/3 readiness assessments and HITRUST certifications.

You will review testing procedures, assist with staffing, and mentor consultants while staying current with assurance standards to ensure high-quality engagement outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, accounting, finance, computer science, or related field.
• 2+ years of SOC-related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Support SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 readiness assessments and examinations.
• Review testing procedures and results for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Support leadership with staffing, resource allocation, and team scheduling.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of assurance standards relevant to assigned engagements.
• Consistently deliver high-quality work while fostering strong relationships with clients and team members.
• Contribute to practice growth by identifying new opportunities and supporting strategic initiatives.
• Provide mentorship and training to consultants as needed.
• Continuously enhance engagement processes and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by firm leadership.

The SOC & HITRUST team helps organizations strengthen control environments and protect sensitive data. Specializing in third-party assurance, they deliver tailored SOC reports and HITRUST certifications across industries like technology, healthcare, insurance, and financial services. Their comprehensive assessments support regulatory compliance, enhance data security, and build trust with customers and partners.

What You Will Do

• Support various compliance reports, including SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 readiness assessments and examinations.
• Review testing procedures and results to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Support leadership with operational responsibilities such as staffing, resource allocation, and team scheduling.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of assurance and compliance standards relevant to assigned engagements.
• Consistently deliver high-quality work while fostering strong relationships with clients and team members.
• Contribute to practice growth by identifying new opportunities and supporting strategic initiatives.
• Provide mentorship and training to consultants as needed.
• Continuously enhance engagement processes and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or related field
• 2+ years of SOC-related experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters’s Degree
• Prior Consulting Experience
• Current and valid CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license
• Current and valid CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) certification
