Job summary

FI Consulting is seeking a Senior Consultant, Data Integration Engineering in Arlington, VA to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and system integrations for a federal modernization program.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, APIs, and enterprise data environments, with cloud and modern data architecture exposure. Onsite work in Washington, DC is expected to start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, systems integration, ETL development, or database administration.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise data pipelines.
• Demonstrated interest in emerging technologies, including AI, and applying new tech to solve problems.
• Experience with APIs, data integration platforms, and relational databases.
• Experience with ETL tools and automated data processing solutions.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Must be available to work onsite in Washington, DC upon project start.

Position Overview

FI Consulting is seeking a Data/Integration Engineer to support a federal agency program modernization effort. This role will design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and system integrations that support financial operations, reporting, reconciliation, and process automation.

The ideal candidate has 6 or more years of experience integrating enterprise systems, building scalable data solutions, and supporting financial or operational data environments.

• Experience working with APIs, data integration platforms, and relational databases.
• Experience with ETL tools and automated data processing solutions.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Must be available to work onsite in Washington, DC upon project start.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating federal financial systems.
• Familiarity with Delphi, PRISM, Oracle EPM/IMPACT, ServiceNow, or similar enterprise platforms.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Experience with Python, C#, Java, or other modern programming languages.
• Experience supporting financial management, accounting, budgeting, or reporting environments.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and master data management practices.
• Experience supporting federal government clients.
