Job summary

Edgeworth Economics is a Washington, DC–based economic and quantitative consulting firm providing economic analysis and expert testimony for complex litigation, regulatory matters, and other challenges. This role focuses on building and analyzing economic data, developing models for expert reports, and researching industry trends to support clients.

The position involves presenting results to colleagues and clients, collaborating in a team oriented, fast-paced environment with a hybrid work

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, statistics, mathematics or related discipline.
  • Proficient in statistical software such as SAS or Stata, R, SQL; Python a plus.
  • 2+ years of related experience in a quantitative field is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of statistics.
  • Strong writing ability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to quickly develop working relationships with peers and clients.
  • Ability to work in teams and independently.
  • Commitment to delivering results and bias for action.
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Building and analyzing economic, financial, and employment data using spreadsheets, programming, model building, and regression analysis
  • Preparing economic and statistical models for expert reports and testimony
  • Conducting research on industry trends, market structures, and academic literature
  • Reviewing and summarizing reports, client documents, and industry trade press
  • Assisting in the development and creation of research summaries, expert reports, and presentation materials
  • Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of analyses
  • Presenting results of analyses to colleagues and clients

The applicable base salary range for this role is $95,500 - $103,000 per year. The base pay offered will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, locations, certifications, and education. In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible for a performance-based bonus.
