Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Superintendent to lead field execution on construction projects, overseeing planning, resources, safety, quality, and schedules. You will coordinate with foremen, engineers, and subcontractors to drive performance and ensure budgets are met.

Travel and relocation to project sites are expected; a strong track record in vertical building and heavy civil construction, plus excellent communication and safety leadership, are required.

Qualifications

• Travel and relocate as needed.
• 7+ years’ construction industry experience with at least 5+ years in a supervisory role.
• Vertical building experience required.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervisory direction of craft personnel via foreman, ensuring productivity, safety, quality and schedule adherence.
• Act as liaison between field engineering and project craft to ensure drawings and specs compliance.
• Coordinate with other superintendents, subcontractors and staff to ensure smooth workflow and schedule adherence.
• Resolve employee conflicts and scheduling difficulties, informing project and corporate management as appropriate.
• Assist in schedule planning, determining craft labor levels, material quantities, and equipment requirements.
• Ensure project rules and safety programs are followed in line with policies.
