Job summary

Newport Construction is seeking a seasoned Safety Specialist to join our Nashua-based team. You will oversee safety programs for heavy civil projects, asphalt plants, and quarries, coordinating with regulators and project managers to ensure compliance and training.

Strong knowledge of MSHA rules and DOT requirements is essential. The role emphasizes field audits, incident investigations, and program development, with a focus on continuous safety improvements and effective risk mitigation across

Qualifications

• Requires safety management experience in construction settings.
• Proven knowledge of MSHA regulations and safety programs.
• Experience with DOT compliance and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety support for construction projects, asphalt plants and quarries.
• Develop and maintain written safety programs and training content.
• Lead safety audits and coordinate with regulators and project teams.
• Monitor OSHA/DOT compliance and incident investigations.
• Assist in implementing safety incentive programs and continuous improvement.
